A simple, clean and nice design; These words describe one site with great potential and opportunities. Friend of mine, who asked me to do this SEO review is the owner of the sport cars site. Firstly, I’d like to analyse actual SEO strategies besides the actual results and I’ll design some ways how to increase the income in the second part of this document. You can get similar analysis for just $100!

Let’s analyse on-site SEO firstly. As you can see, h1 headings, title tags, meta tags, filenames structure, images , bold words, website navigation and other minor factors perfectly fit SEO requirements! Really, there isn’t nothing what could mean potential minus for this site. As you can see on the main page, this site is also using RSS from an external site. I know sport-cars.org for a long time and the reason why that RSS was added is the content freshness. Nowdays, when at least 1 article is being added to that site per 1 week, I would recommend the webmaster to disable that RSS feed. The reason is really simple; It lowers the PageRank of internal pages. Or, I’d cut 10 outgoing links to 3 or 4 at all. Generally, PageRank values passing is designed very well, because any article can be found through 2 clicks from the homepage. Related articles are linked together, so it is the best what can be done.

Even though this site is a new one, it has a PageRank value of 4. Unfortunately, it isn’t listed in dmoz yet. It seems that some dmoz’s moderators are getting lazy. Usually, a site gets listed in dmoz if only a moderator finds a site which he/she consider to be useful for the category he/she is a moderator of. PageRank 4 and static URLs are very good starting point. I’d focus on the content firstly, because every experienced SEO knows that content rulez. When a site offers useful and unique content, people will gladly link to it. Personally, I think that sport-cars.org offers very good content. You know, cars are a kind of hobby. Especially sport cars, which most people dream of. I’d like to point on any site’s subject through the following reason; It’s always better to run a site dedicated to a hobby than to pills, products or so, because people like hobbies and they like to find such sites. Unlike pharmaceutics or pills, hobbies connect the world together!

Off-site SEO is done very well if you understand it’s a new site. Google knows 73 pages pointing to www.sport-cars.org and 87 pages pointing to sport-cars.org (simply without www prefix). The age of links is very important, but I count on that once it’ll get 100+ incoming links and they’ll be stable for 3 months, this site will get into the top10 on Google for the phrase ’sport cars’. You might feel that such phrase means great potential. New articles are being added on a regular basis and Google indexes them very quickly. I’ll analyse the article strategy later in this article. Let’s take a look at the links pointing to this site. I used my backlink checker tool and I got the following result:

The most important number is the first one. Even though all these links go from PageRank 0 pages, they contain the anchor text and, naturally, they should get some PageRank value in the future. As I mentioned above, internal linking is very important too. Take an example, Ferrari F355 berlinetta points to every article which is included in the ferrari category (e.g. Ferrari Enzo, Ferrari F50 and so on). Links to the articles also contain anchor text. OK, but how about a lifetime of an article? Every article which search engines can find, has it’s own lifetime. Depending on the „trust factor“ which describes how much does a search engine trust any site, new articles are being added into the indexes and search engines assign them some rankings. Naturally, any article gets better rankings how time goes by, because the age factor is very important. I studied some articles’ behaviour and the result is shown below.

But how to determine which site is trusted, which is poor or average? Bascially, no matter how perfect your site is, if it’s new, it’s ranking is poor. As time goes by, content and incoming links improve it’s ranking and a site gets trusted. Depending on many SEO factors, new content is being added into the search engines’ indexes. Any new content gets better ranking later, no matter if it’s link popularity raises. This fact is caused by the age factor. I think that sport-cars.org is ranked somewhere between poor and average site. Once Google will mark this site as an average one, it will get about 10 times more visitors as well as more clicks on the ads. It will be a process which lasts about 1 month. All existing reviews on cars will get better ranking too. Later, maybe 1 year from now, this site will probably get a ranking between an average and trusted one. This situation equals to PageRank of 5 or 6. Anyway, a site with PageRank 3 or 4 can be trusted too. Basic calculations lead to huge income from sport-cars.org.

And finally, the most important part of this review. What to focus on? Which are the best phrases, keywords and points where to invest the effort? Basically, I’ll show you 6 phrases, but you can simply create other phrases by just combining them or changing some words (e.g. BMW to Jaguar and so on):

„Sport car insurance“. I’d write about some tips and average prices for this service. I’d establish about 10 articles, each of 600-700 words at all.

„Luxury sport car“. The same as above, but the number of articles should vary between 5 and 10.

„Porsche dealer“. This phrase is very good, but any article must be written the way it won’t break Google AdSense TOS. I’d write about tips when buying a porsche. 5 articles are enough.

„Used porsche“. Well, this phrase is very nice, because it gives a lot of space what to write about. Write about engines, tires, clutch, exhaust, simple about anything what could get old and used.

„BMW dealer“ is probably the same phrase like „Porsche dealer“. Only the subject is changed.

„BMW part“ is another great phrase. It allows you to write about different parts and so on.

All phrases listed above are paid well.
